Falling for Grace debuted at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival and was a sold out hit! It is a romantic comedy about Grace Tang, an investment banker originally from New York Chinatown, who wants more than anything to be part of the upper east side socialite world. When she finally gets invited to a prestigious meet & greet and gets mistaken as an heiress from Hong Kong, Grace decides to run with her new identity.

A very fun, heartwarming, refreshing romantic comedy, this is what the critics are saying about Falling For Grace:

"THIS SUMMER’S MUST SEE FEEL GOOD MOVIE" KVMR Public Radio
"THE NEXT MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING!" Soctt Hoffman, moviepicturefilm.com
"MARGARET CHO IS HILARIOUS!" Chris Ciompi, Genre Magazine
"LEE BRINGS A FRESH TWIST" TO ROMANTIC COMEDIES! Premiere Magazine
"STANDS OUT AS A LEGITIMATELY FUNNY ROMANTIC COMEDY!" Huffington Post

Cast includes:
Gale Harold (Queer As Folk, Deadwood, Vanished),
Fay Ann Lee (Miss Saigon, Law & Order, All My Children),
Christine Baranski (Cybil, Bowfinger, Birdcage, Chicago),
Margaret Cho (famous comedienne),
Roger Rees (Cheers, Pink Panther),
Ken Leung (Sopranos),
and
Lewis Black (Daily Show, HBO Lewis Black Specials).

Falling For Grace DirectorFay Ann Lee, writer/director/actress, took a risk when she graduated from Wharton and decided instead of taking her offers from Wall Street, to pursue her passion in the arts. Fay was very fortunate to quickly land the Broadway show, Miss Saigon, which quickly led to lead roles in regional theater all across the country and internationally. When Fay started to venture into T.V. and independent film, she quickly realized how little opportunities there really are for Asian American actors. She decided to try her hand at writing a screenplay and Falling for Grace was the script she developed in writing class which eventually placed at some of the top screening writing competitions in the country.

Falling For Grace is Fay’s attempt to write one of the very first mainstream romantic comedies that has an Asian American female protagonist. The film made its film festival debut at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival and was a sold-out-hit.

Falling For Grace is an independent film supported by many Wharton alums who not only found Fay’s script fun and well-written, they also believed in supporting a project helmed by a female minority writer/director – something that is still very much lacking in the landscape of Hollywood filmmaking.

You can hear more from Fay Ann Lee on Saturday after the 4:30 PM show! Please join us in what will be a very unique Wharton Club Event! DO NOT MISS THIS MOVIE. A LIMITED ENGAGEMENT ONLY!
