Julie Johnson and Jon Engelskirger are the ultimate Napa Valley winemaking couple. After co-founding Frog's Leap, Julie Johnson started Tres Sabores, one of Napa’s first certified organic growers and a single vineyard producer. Tres Sabores is featured at gourmet grocers such as Beltramo's, Oakville Grocery and Draeger's. Julie, a passionate wine advocate, is past President of Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP), co-founder of Women for WineSense, and currently chairs the Napa Valley Vintners’ Community Outreach Committee.
Julie's husband, Jon Engelskirger was most recently the Winemaker at Turnbull Wine Cellars, one of Napa's most noted and highest-rated wineries, for over nine years. His 30 years in the wine business have taken him from winemaking at Silverado Vineyards, Robert Pepi, Hanna, and Turnbull wineries to a new role as the consulting winemaker for winery clients in California and Oregon as well as the emerging wine market in India.
