Our country is deeply divided on the fundamental religious and moral values concerning biobanking and genetic research. Where are we headed? About Arthur Caplan
Arthur Caplan, Ph.D. is the Chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and the Director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a widely published and quoted expert in the field of bioethics. He has received many honors and awards, served on numerous policy committees and consulted to companies and consumer groups. Dr. Caplan is also the author of over 500 books and articles, including Smart Mice Not so Smart People--An Interesting and Amusing Guide to Bioethics, to be released in November, 2006.
