We are excited to present the following speaker series taking place in July and August:

The series will generally follow this schedule (with changes to the agenda noted week to week
before each event):

12:30-12:45: Students take lunch to-go in Dining Room
12:45-12:50: Transition to Classroom 660
12:50-12:55: Introduction
12:55-1:50: Speaker Talk/Q&A
1:50-2:00: Transition to class

Before each talk, we plan to reach out to solicit questions to seed the Q&A. If you have a strong interest in a particular speaker, please let us know and we can find a role for you to assist with the event.

Rachel Kay, WG’07
Rachel Kay is a talent and organizational development executive at Google and a certified professional diversity coach. Rachel has over 20 years progressive experience designing enterprise-level programs and executive talent management infrastructure, she’s served as the learning and development consultant for Google’s technical organizations and managed multiple cross-functional
leadership programs for senior executives. She began her career with 5 years of management consulting working with clients across various industries in the private and public sectors. Currently she leads organizational development and culture strategy for a global technical organization of 14k people, owning location strategy, organizational health, leadership development and diversity, equity and inclusion. Prior to her current role she served as the Head of Product Localization Strategy, managing an operational budget of $53M
and leading a team responsible for localizing 50+ Google products globally to ensure native user experiences.

What really makes Rachel tick is leveraging her background in learning and organizational development to drive equitable outcomes for all. Among Rachel’s proudest professional accomplishments is serving on the board of an internal organization with the goal of making a large business unit a place where Black+ women thrive. In that role, she built manager capability to create equitable and psychologically-safe teams for every employee. In her coaching and consulting practice, Rachel works with individuals and groups. She specializes in supporting her clients to build healthy team cultures, helping dominant group members lead with cultural
awareness to drive equity in their organizations and working with members of historically excluded groups on defining what success looks like for them and how to meet their goals.
 
In working with coaching and consulting clients, Rachel uses her expertise in talent and organizational development, operational efficiency and effectiveness and diversity, equity inclusion and belonging to help her clients establish goals, processes and outcomes to achieve their personal and business objectives.
 
Rachel holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A in Social Thought and Analysis and French from Washington University. She is a Certified Diversity to Belonging Facilitator through Veritas Culture, a Certified Professional Diversity Coach through the CoachDiversity Institute, a Hudson Institute certified executive coach and certified through the International Coaching Federation (ACC)
