Breanne White, WG’22
Breanne White is the Founder and CEO of Mintaka, which focuses on training companies in leadership, communication, and mindfulness through experiential learning in nature. She grew up with mountains in her backyard but didn’t really understand the
transformative power of spending time in nature until she moved to the concrete jungle of Washington, DC. With so much time spent sitting in an office staring at a computer screen, she quickly became a “weekend warrior” and spent nearly every weekend escaping the city to the mountains and forests along the East Coast. Now she’s a passionate advocate for spending more time in nature and transforming individuals, communities, and society in the process.
Breanne has lived and worked all over the world with diverse individuals from all sorts of backgrounds. Prior to launching her startup, she worked in international trade and development for several agencies in the United States Federal Government, specifically focusing on development finance and infrastructure procurement policy in emerging economies. Breanne was a Presidential Management Fellow with the US Federal Government, a fellowship awarded to less than 10% of applicants, and focused her two years as a Fellow on international trade policy.
Before working for the US Federal Government, Breanne worked in training and curriculum development, including managing the curriculum development strategy for Grant Thornton's 700-employee Financial Management/Audit and Human Capital federal consulting practice and designing and developing Arabic, Somali, and Chinese language curriculum for US Federal Government clients.
Breanne speaks five languages and has an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, an MA in International Studies: Chinese from The University of Pennsylvania, and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from The Ohio State University. In her spare time, you can find her rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking.
