Candice Cho

Candice Cho is the Managing Director of Policy and Counsel at AAPI Equity Alliance (AAPI Equity). Candice brings over a decade of experience leading collaborative policy efforts at the federal and local levels. As Deputy Chief of Staff at the New York City Law Department, one of the largest public law offices in the country, she served as the city’s chief legal advisor on immigration and sanctuary city policies protecting immigrant New Yorkers during the Trump Administration. She also served as Chief of Staff to a New York City Charter Revision Commission whose proposals to increase democratic participation in local government were approved by the voters. Candice began her career as a legislative staffer for U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin (D-IL).

Candice has lectured on local government and immigration at Columbia Law School, New York University School of Law, New York Law School, Brooklyn Law School, and Fordham Law School.

Candice received a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School. She is admitted to practice law in New York and California. She was born in San Francisco and raised in Los Angeles.

 

Sarah Hassaine WG21
Sarah Hassaine WG21 serves as the Global Director of Diversity at ResMed, a global Medtech company based in San Diego. At ResMed, Sarah has designed and has been executing a global strategy impacting all verticals of the business and partnering with key stakeholders like Talent Acquisition, Benefits, People Development and External Comms. She’s also a powerhouse community builder and sits on three Boards in San Diego; she is a Board Member of the North San Diego Business Chamber and on the Board of the Kim Center for Social Justice and Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. Sarah was one of the Founders of the San Diego Tech Women’s Summit, still partnering today with many women in tech communities. She earned her MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.


Lisa Rotenstein
Dr. Rotenstein is a primary care physician, healthcare leader, and researcher whose work focuses on care delivery innovation, physician wellbeing, and gender issues in medicine.

She is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Associate Faculty at Ariadne Labs. She was named a 2021 STAT Wunderkind, and selected as one of MedTech Boston's 40 under 40 and a Aspen Spotlight Health Scholar. She is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard Business School.

Dr. Rotenstein currently leads population health and collaborative care initiatives across Brigham Health's primary care practices. She additionally leads the Care Advancement Network Lab in the Brigham and Women's Hospital Division of General Internal Medicine, which is focused on spreading and evaluating best practices in ambulatory care delivery. Previously, she led faculty development and wellbeing, population health, and job doability efforts for the Brigham and Women's Physicians Organization.

Dr. Rotenstein's research on physician and trainee mental health, published in JAMA and the Journal of General Internal Medicine has fostered increased awareness of the epidemic of depression and burnout in medical students and physicians and catalyzed action to address this public health burden. Her research on the electronic health record (EHR), published in JAMA Internal Medicine and JAMA Network Open, have deepened our understanding of the role of the EHR in physician experience. She is a nationally recognized expert on gender issues in medicine, with her research and writing on this topic featured in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Harvard Business Review, and JAMA Internal Medicine.
