Do you want to learn the trade secrets of becoming a CFO? On October 18, 2018, Wharton is hosting "
How To Be A Great CFO", with Rob Krolik. Rob is a successful CFO, four time public company CFO with two successful IPO's, including Yelp. He has over 25 years of experience with companies such as Yelp, Move.com, eBay, Shopping.com and DigitalThink. Rob currently serves on the board of directors and audit chairman of Sun Basket and Shazam.
Starting with the building blocks of management training and behind-the-role tips all the way through practical IPO knowledge, this course will train participants in different disciplines under the CFO umbrella.
The content of this course will include 8 modules including FP&A Framework, Facilities, Treasury, Board Meetings, and the IPO. The modules include: required expertise, real life stories, case studies and practical real-world advice.
Why is Rob doing this? It's Rob's personal and professional mission
to train the next generation of CFOs.
With the ethos of the "Lean Startup" deeply cemented into the start-up culture, the tradecraft of developing into a public company CFO has all but disappeared from the start-up landscape. All too often, Rob has witnessed Heads of Finance or Heads of Accounting not getting the apprenticeship required to get recruited into becoming a private company CFO. Equally, Rob has witnessed highly qualified and passionate private company CFO's getting swapped out for an "experienced" public company CFO as the company nears its IPO debut. With you, he'd like to change that.. There are currently over 60 CFO's searches going on in Silicon Valley. What are you doing to be one of those CFO's?
