The day's activities will be jam-packed and include:
- A Chalk Talk session with Wharton alum and Giants SVP and CIO Bill Schlough (WG98)
- An opportunity through our support of the Giants Community Fund to try out the new Virtual Reality (VR) headsets that the Giants are rolling out in the ballpark this year (seriously fun!)
- Our San Francisco Giants vs. the Philadelphia Phillies!

You will have a chance to experience the latest in Virtual Reality for Giants fans ahead of the crowds and to hear from fellow Wharton alum Bill Schlough (WG98), SVP and Chief Information Officer for the San Francisco Giants. More details as we get closer to Game Day, but you’re going to be blown away by this!
This year’s Wharton Club Day at AT&T Park will be on Sunday June 26th with pre-game activities — including the Chalk Talk — starting at 10:30 am in our private meeting room followed by the Giants taking on the Philadelphia Phillies at 1:05 pm.

Cost: $35 per person for current WCNC members; $35 per person for each accompanied guest; and $35 per person for each accompanied child. Registrations after 6:00pm Tuesday, June 14th are an extra $10 per ticket, if available. Members only for this event.
Members may purchase up to one additional ticket for an accompanied adult at the member rate. Members may also purchase up to two additional tickets for their children, who must be accompanied by a parent. Note: these children's tickets are not transferable to an adult — they are intended only for Club members who would like to bring their children with them to the game. Up to 25 tickets are being set aside for accompanied children, but all of our tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. All ticket sales are final.

Activity Schedule
10:30 am. Virtual Reality Experience as part of annual support of the Giants Community Fund
Come early to experience the latest in Virtual Reality for Giants fans! While in our private meeting room you will have the opportunity to put on a VR headset to feel what it’s like to be with Giants’ players on the field and in the batting cages at Spring Training as well as to chat with Giants coaches/executives and to ride in a car with Sergio Romo.
11:15 am. Chalk Talk / Fireside Chat with Bill Schlough (WG98), SVP and CIO for the San Francisco Giants
Bill will walk us through the latest technologies being implemented by the Giants both on and off the field including their recent foray into the world of virtual reality, continuing investment in wireless connectivity at AT&T Park and use of Statcast, Major League Baseball’s newest statistical platform.
12:15 pm. Mix & Mingle
Following Bill’s remarks hang around to meet new friends, greet old ones, and if you haven’t yet had a chance to do so to experience the latest in Virtual Reality for Giants fans.

About our Speaker:
Bill Schlough (WG98), SVP and CIO for the San Francisco Giants
Bill Schlough currently serves as Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer of the San Francisco Giants and Chairman of the Board of the San Jose Giants.
Since Bill’s arrival in 1999, the Giants have been recognized as one of the most innovative teams in sports, playing a pioneering role in the world of HD video, mobile content, ticketing and payment systems. Wireless connectivity has been a primary focus since 2004 when AT&T Park became the first sports facility to provide free Wi-Fi to all fans. Bill’s IT team has also implemented numerous proprietary analytic tools that helped secure three World Series titles over five years.
An Olympic enthusiast, Bill is a board member of the Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee (BASOC) and served on the committees for San Francisco’s bids to host the 2012, 2016 and 2024 Olympic Games. His event experience includes assignments at the 1994 World Cup along with Olympics in Atlanta, Salt Lake and Torino, Italy. Previously, he worked as a consultant with Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Electronic Data Systems. More recently, Bill served as Interim President of the Giants’ Class A San Jose affiliate and was appointed to the team’s board as chairman in 2012.
In addition to his Giants and Olympic activities, Bill serves on boards for causes with a focus on education and athletics, including Junior Achievement and The Giant Race. He is also an avid supporter of the Giants Community Fund.
Bill has been honored as Trace3’s 2016 CIO Outlier of the Year, InformationWeek’s 2012 IT Chief of the Year and is a member of Sports Business Journal’s 2010 “Forty Under 40” class of promising young executives in the sports industry. A San Francisco native and Ironman triathlete, Bill holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Duke University and an MBA from the Wharton School. He resides in Los Altos with his wife, Erin, and two young sons, Xavier and Quinlan.
