About this session:
Very good ideas often die inside organizations because people who are good at creating ideas are not always good at selling them to other people.  This talk will help you understand a reliable, structured process for selling your ideas so they end up at the top of the priority list.

Professor G. Richard Shell, award-winning author, teacher, and Director of both the Wharton Executive Negotiation Workshop and the Strategic Persuasion Workshop will share research and best practices in the fields of influence and persuasion.  As the faculty leader of the two-year process that recently resulted in the biggest changes to Wharton's MBA program in a generation, Shell practices what he preaches.  Tune in to this webinar and learn the following:
  • How personality affects effective persuasion;
  • Why self-confidence is both an asset and a liability when it comes to influence;
  • How to identify and overcome the five biggest barriers to selling ideas.
