WCNC JobWorks Every Wednesday starting November 11th, 2009
According to the NY Times bestseller, “What Color Is Your Parachute” (Job-Hunting in Hard Times edition), one of the most successful methods of looking for a job is participating in a job-hunting group. These groups can provide constructive feedback on résumés, LinkedIn profiles, and “elevator” introductions; assist with interview preparation and debriefing; share tips on useful resources; act as a forum for goal setting and accountability; offer insight into target companies and positions; provide referrals for informational interviewing; and be an invaluable source of camaraderie and moral support. You and other talented, connected members of the Wharton community can now leverage your job hunts through the Wharton Club of Northern California’s Silicon Valley job-hunting group.
NOTES: Space is limited to ensure the group will be effective. WCNC JobWorks is open only to Wharton alumni and students. For your own benefit, as well as that of other group members, once you’ve decided to join you should make a weekly commitment for an extended period. (The extended commitment makes the WCNC's
Gold Ticket Membership an especially attractive deal.)
